2008 Policies

  • Greens fees for competitors will be absorbed by the host courses. Beginning in 2008, each participant will be requested to provide $5 as a fuel surcharge. Fees expected for golf prior to the day of competition for competitors is for each course to determine.

  • Food & beverages will be available "at the turn" of 18 holes or the completion of 9 hole competitions. A nominal fee may be charged unless provided on a complimentary basis.

  • If all competitors have not completed 9 holes upon cancellation due to detrimental weather, no points will be awarded. If all players have completed 9 holes, points will be awarded on the basis of a 9 hole score. Each course's director of golf will decide when to cancel play on a temporary or permanent basis. Please error on the side of caution.

  • Directors of golf should provide competitors any necessary "local rules" prior to the beginning of play on a printed form.

  • Proper golf attire is expected. Soft spikes are required of all participants. Course owners in an invited guest 4-some is invited to play on any day of competition. Crawford Cup directors are provided complimentary play at all participating courses.

  • Competitors must be a minimum of 18 years of age or a high school graduating senior.

  • Each course submits flighted participants. Participants must remain in the flight assigned. Any participant not "ready on the tee" at the assigned time will be forfeited.

  • Participants may play the host course prior to competition on the day of competition.

  • Each course will determine a 3-some or 4-some format.
