What One Mom Had to Say...
“I am so happy with what the YMCA preschool/daycare has offered to our family since we joined last year.
“I was immediately impressed with how much activity my daughters would be offered. Not only are there lots of planned activities, such as weekly swimming, gym and outdoor play, but the classroom offers their busy little hands lots to do. There are periods of free play where my girls can choose to play with the water table, dress up, play office, or even paint, just to name a few activities. Children are so active at this age and I am glad the Y offers such a full day to engage and challenge them.
"In addition, there are field trips and class programs and very special lunches for grandparents to keep the whole family involved.
"Every day I receive a summary sheet telling me what my children learned that day, whether it be a new letter, a Spanish word, a sign language gesture, or a new, fun song.
“I am so grateful for the enormous amount of care for the children the Y teachers offer. My daughters have even come home with specially-painted finger nails or styled hair. You can tell the staff really loves children and enjoy what they do.
"The YMCA school-age child care programs have great flexibility of hours for parents and varied activities to keep the kids learning and engaged. My son gets lots of exercise and even has help getting his homework done! I highly recommend it.
"The flexible schedule is a very important benefit to our family. With 12 hours of operation, I have a lot more freedom to work without worry on days that may run later than others.
"The YMCA runs a remarkable program for active, busy preschoolers and I am very happy with the care our family has received!"
