Local paramedic students graduate


Forty paramedic students recently graduated from the paramedic program of Bassett Healthcare’s Center for Rural Emergency Medical Services Education.

A partnership between Bassett Healthcare and the State University College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill has addressed the need for rural paramedic providers since 2005, according to a media release.

Registered nurse Diane Duffy was given the Advanced Student of the Year Award. The Adjunct Faculty Member of the Year Award was given to Gregory Morrison of Laurens. Morrison was the lead instructor for the emergency medical technician-critical care course held in Milford.
