Cancer Services Program of Niagara County Offers FREE Cancer Screening to the Uninsured or Under-insured

In 2008 the Cancer Services Program of Niagara County (formerly Healthy Living Partnership of Niagara County) provided free breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer screenings to over 600 men and women who otherwise would not have been able to afford them.

The Cancer Services Program of Niagara County provides clinical breast exams, mammograms, and pap smears to women (40-64) and colorectal cancer screening (FOBT) kits to uninsured or under-insured women and men (50-64).  The program also offers a $20 Walmart gift card once screenings are completed.

Case management services are available to anyone needing further treatment.  The program will help uninsured individuals enroll in the Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program so that they can continue to receive medical procedures.

Those with no health insurance or health insurance with high deductibles who live in Niagara County can call 215-0553 for more information about this life saving program.

This program is offered in all counties in New York State through the NYS Department of Health Cancer Services Program.  To find a program in your community call, toll free, 1-866-442-CANCER (1-866-442-2262).
