Emerson takes pride in classic wedding setting

Emerson Inn by The Sea has played a role in making wedding memories for many Cape Ann couples.

The Emerson is an historic inn with 36 guest rooms — and grounds available to brides and grooms for their wedding ceremony.

The venue’s professional staff prides itself on creating a picture-perfect setting. White folding garden chairs decorate the grounds,and guests are able to look out over the Atlantic Ocean as the bride and groom are perfectly featured in the center for a picturesque moment.

Emerson Inn is available for wedding events from 12 to 5 p.m. Brides and Grooms are able to enjoy the tremendous views during the day and later, venture out into historic Rockport to enjoy what it has to offer during the evening.

Rockport is home to many scenic areas that wedding guests will surely appreciate. Whether it be exploring the harbor aboard a chartered boat, walking along one of the many local beaches, or indulging in seafood served at its well-known restaurants and cafes, guests can enjoy an extraordinary experience. Visitors are encouraged to complete their stay by spending the night in one of Emerson Inn’s 36 guest rooms, some featuring private balconies, baths, spa tubs, and ocean views.

At the close of the wedding ceremony, family and friends are invited up to the sweeping veranda overlooking the ocean front setting. Here they appreciate drinks and an assortment of hors d’oeuvres They then are welcomed into The Grand Cafe for their main course. On-site catering is available for wedding events straight from Emerson Inn by The Sea’s very own Grand Cafe.

The destination’s oceanside banquet rooms hold 150 guests — all of whom are invited to come in and, “have a grand time”, says Molly Andrew Williamson, the Emerson’s general manager.

“Live bands are welcomed and guests always enjoy themselves,” she adds. “Every bride makes their event a special one because the Inn is a perfect backdrop for whatever any bride wants to create,” Williamson said.

In preparation, the Emerson’s director of sales meets with the brides and grooms to be; in addition to that, a special events coordinator walks them through their wedding day. Emerson Inn By the Sea’s staff will work closely with you paying attention to even the small details, offering couples a vendor list for entertainment, florists, caterers ect.
