Finding Fireworks Displays for Labor Day
Fireworks and special events seem to go hand in hand in this country. Perhaps you've taken in one of the many displays that occur during the summer months and beaches and public parks. Now your family may be looking for one last fireworks hoorah before the summer's end.Labor Day presents another opportunity to attend a breathtaking fireworks display. Here's how to find the one that fits your family's needs.
* Check your local newspaper for a listing of fireworks displays in your area. You may have more than one option depending upon where you live.
* Visit your local Chamber of Commerce to find out if there is a town event schedule that may list fireworks as part of the festivities. Instead of just taking in a fireworks display, you could enjoy an entire day of festivities.
* Make sure to drive to the place where the fireworks show will be held a few days prior so that you can get an idea of how much space and parking there is at the location. This way you can estimate when to arrive to get a prime viewing location.
* You may want to consider a fireworks display that is in walking distance to avoid the inconvenience of finding parking.
* Dress accordingly on the day. Dress children in bright or reflective clothing so that they'd be easily identifiable in a crowd. Comfortable shoes are also a must.
